A review of the specs of this phone again:
- Symbian S60v3 OS
- 5MP Camera with Carl Zeiss Optics
- Xenon flash
- Wifi, Bluetooth
- GPS
This is an old phone (bought it in 2008) but it does almost anything a decent smartphone would do today.
Anyway enough with the old stuff, let's get cracking!
1) Remove the MicroSD slot cover, and locate the tab to push.
2) After removing it, remove the front plastic piece which protects the LCD screen.
3) Remove the LCD display by prying it upwards. Do take care of the ribbon cable at the bottom right of the screen which connects the display to the motherboard. The display is held down by glue, so do not panic if you hear a "tearing" noise. (The shiny border is glue)
4) Remove the front keypad case. There are a few tabs around the keypad case. As with the LCD screen, it is also held down with a bit of glue.
5) Remove the keypad. There are a few tabs around the keypad. It is also held down with quite a bit of glue. Do take note of the keypad connector at the upper right-hand corner.
6) Remove the 6 screws holding the metal plate.
7) Remove the metal plate. It is held down by a few plastic tabs around the phone.
8) Disconnect the camera and (I suspect) the Xenon flash.
9) Remove the motherboard. It is held down by a few tabs around the phone.
10) Done!
Here are a few shots of the different chips on the motherboard. Chips ID anyone? =)
